About the Procedure
A dental veneer is actually a thin layer of either ceramic or porcelain material that entirely covers an existing tooth. Dr. Mannas will begin the process by removing an extremely thin layer of enamel from your natural tooth surface (typically about 0.3 to 1.2 millimeters). After that, Dr. Mannas will make an impression of the tooth that will be covered, and the impression will be sent to a dental laboratory, where the veneer will be made. Once your veneer is ready, Dr. Mannas will apply it using an adhesive and a beam of light to quicken the hardening process.
